Research Interests

Hibernation, Reproduction, Juvenile development, Life history strategies, Endocrinology, Behavioural biology

My PhD-thesis focuses on interactions between reproductive timing, availability of energy reserves and hibernation patterns in common hamsters. The aim of our project is to investigate if previous reproductive output as well as the amount and quality of food stores available for the winter period could affect hibernation performance.
